Montessori School Outreach

Updated: Jan 30, 2020

We had an amazing activity as part of lab outreach that took us to Montessori school in Fall 2017. In this outreach event, we described the idea behind microbiome studies and taught students how to sample their pets (they actually had a few dogs in the school). They swabbed different body sites of these dogs and put them in 15ml tubes. We then took the samples back to the lab, analyzed them to get the results back to school.
